Once again we are at The Manor in Meriden, where in the afternoon we will have our riders meeting to discuss the 2023 season and the new 2024 season. We should by then have a rough idea of what meetings we are likely to be invited to and would like feedback from you all about this year and any suggested changes to the way things are done in 2024, please email these suggestions beforehand so we can have a think about them.
Dinner menu is at the end of this email, please select what you want and email back to Mike Russell mikerussellracing@gmail.com with the name of the ‘entrants’ and their dinner choices by the assigned letter, such as A,C,B. If you have attending guests you would like to sit with please include with your email
Update 10th October for hotel rooms
We have managed to keep prices to the same as last year, however all the rooms at the Manor are now full. The hotel is offering the same rate at it’s sister hotel, The Windmill, which is only 2 miles away. There will be a shuttle bus at the end of the evening from the Manor to the Windmill to help with logistics. You can use the same contact details as before to book and get the discounted rate.
The dinner is £30.50 per head and a double/twin room is £105, a single is £95 this includes breakfast, we have 35 rooms reserved until 4 weeks before (22nd October), so to be safe book your room before 12th Oct and when you ring up mention ‘The Lansdowne Cup’ as these are special rates for us. For those staying at the hotel the dinner will be charged to your room, those not staying at the hotel please send to Michael Russell a post dated cheque (10th Nov) made payable to ‘The Manor at Meriden Ltd ’. (£30.50 per head)
Timetable for the day
- 1.00pm onwards. Arrive at the hotel, all rooms may not be available at this time.
- 3:30pm Riders meeting in the Guernsey Suite (coffee and biscuits)
- 7:00pm pre-dinner drinks in the Aylesford Suite bar area
- 7:30pm Dinner served in the Aylesford Suite
- 1:00am bar closes.
