The Stan Woods trophy meeting

The Lansdowne prize giving at Cadwell Park

Quick update from the Paddock tent

A race meeting is an all-consuming event, but only around an hour is actually spent racing our bikes, albeit a very special hour. There are many more hours over a typical weekend in the paddock with friends, family, sponsors and team members. Although the racing is serious, paddock social life and camaraderie is high on the agenda for many. In light of this, we’ve been working hard to put together a unique Lansdowne gathering spot to feature as a central space to grab a cup of tea or coffee and take timeout from the riding and fettling routine.

These efforts are not only for ourselves, but for our sponsors Bonhams, Avon Tyres, The National Motorcycle Museum and The Classic Motorcycle Magazine. The area provides somewhere to entertain and promote, to the benefit of all, including our bikes and for the future of The Lansdowne. Our new awning, complete with cafe tables and displays, provides an ideal back drop for photographs and. From our early experience at Pembrey, we can see that it’s already a magnet drawing in potential new members and the media. Please make use of it and and enjoy a bit of Lansdowne hospitality.

Trophy meetings

Each meeting in 2019 will be hailed as a ‘Trophy’ event where we will salute the careers of notable riders and fellow Lansdowners. We aim to make each one a little special and not just let them pass by. Round Two was held at Cadwell Park in Lincolnshire and was titled The Stan Wood Trophy.

The Lansdowne awning was Stan Woods themed and the man himself was in attendance.
