Classic racing with the Lansdowne 2019

Classic racing with The Lansdowne

Round one – Pembrey

We kick off the classic racing season being hosted by the CRMC, May 3rd-4th at Pembrey in South Wales. It’s a bit of hike for most of us but the track is one of the best in the country. There will be a test day on Friday 2nd May which you will be able to book with the circuit, please call 01554 891042. It will be the usual CRMC four race programme and we will use qualifying to determine the grid for the weekend. Entry will be by the ‘new for 2019’ CRMC online entry system – details to follow.

Round two – Cadwell Park

Next we are off to one of the best bike racing circuits in the country with NG Racing at Cadwell Park in the lovely Lincolnshire Wolds on 1st–2nd June. There will be an NG-run test day on the Friday May 31st. The programme is not confirmed but it will probably be the usual NG format of a practice session, qualifying and three races. Entry will by the NG online system.

Round three – Mallory Park

Following the success of last year’s inaugural run out with the Classic and Modern Motorsport Club at Mallory Park we are again at this combined car and bike meeting on 16th June. We will again be running without the chicanes and entry forms will appear on the website in good time for the meeting.

Round four – Donington Park

Back to a regular in our calendar the CRMC Classic Motorcycle Festival at Donington Park on 3rd–4th August which will be run as two day event in 2019. It will be the usual CRMC four race programme and we will use qualifying to determine the grid for the weekend. Entry will be by the new for 2019 on line entry system – details to follow. We normally have a display of bikes and will do so again. No news on any test day as yet but as soon as they are confirmed it will be on our website. The noise level will also be announced in the near future but is likely to be the usual unsilenced level.

Round five – Snetterton 200

We are then at the CRMC Race of the Year meeting at Snetterton on the 200 circuit on 8th–9th September. This is the 40 year birthday party meeting for the CRMC which first raced at Snetterton all those years ago. It will be the usual CRMC RoY three race programme and we will use qualifying to determine the grid for the weekend. Entry will be by the new for 2019 on line entry system – details to follow. There will be a test day on Friday 7th and details will be announced when they are confirmed.

Further plans

We may return to the amazing Portimao track on 1st–3rd November after it went so well this year joining up with those young pups from GP Originals who will be with us again if we go ahead. Negotiations are about to start to organise this event and we will keep Members posted. However with the uncertainty prevailing over Brexit who knows what may happen.

There may be a high profile meeting to add into this calendar if it comes off – details will be on this website if is going to happen.

Team Landowne will be working hard to make each meeting special – well, even more special than they already are. All ideas welcome. Please remember you have to be a member of The Lansdowne in order to race with us. Please also remember you have to have registered your bike to race with us.
